With the new year sneaking upon us, I decided to start a new trend on the blog, which I think is pretty fun myself! After each of my couples have their engagement photoshoot, I am asking them to give me a little interview on their personal "love story". And let me just say, I have all the feels after reading what Jamie had to say about the way her and Alex first met, started dating and how he finally popped the BIG question! EEEK!
Let's dive in:
"My first day moving to East Lansing, to start my Freshman year at Michigan State, my friend from high school invited me to her sister's house party. Alex was there because he just moved in next door. He came up to me and of course I thought he was so hot!
He introduced himself and told me he was 20. Being 18, I thought this was the hottest thing I've ever heard! We joke and say "you had me at 'I'm 20'" hahaha. We kissed like the entire night, but being my first day on campus, I didn't want to start dating someone immediately. We kind of kept in touch over Facebook, and I still always had a huge crush on him.
In this time, he had transferred to the University of Michigan, which was about an hour away from MSU( where I was attending). My Junior year, after being out super late, I texted him "I miss you" as I was going to sleep. I definitely did not expect this, but he called immediately!! I almost didn't answer because I was so taken aback and nervous! We talked for 2 or 3 hours! He came to East Lansing the following weekend and he told me he would never lose me again!

After graduating and dating for a year, we moved to San Diego. Three apartments and one puppy later he finally proposed! Alex's parents were visiting over Christmas last year and staying in a rental on Mission Beach. After Christmas Eve dinner, Alex asked me if I wanted to go on a walk on the beach. It was 11:30pm, cold and drizzling.... this is when I started to think "This is it!" So even though it was crappy out, I was not letting anything ruin my moment! We walked down the beach and he told me he had one more present to give me, opened the box, and asked if I would marry him! I was shaking and speechless, but finally said "Yes!" "
...And just like that my heart is fluttering, this love story built my excitement to build this Simply Classic Couple the wedding of their dreams! After all these years they deserve every second. for more photos of this fabulous couple check our last post Jamie & Ales's Engagement Shoot .
